Lemon Myrtle is a native Australian plant with a delightful flavour and a superb fragrance a blending of lemon, lemongrass and lime.  It can be used where a citrus flavour is desired.  It can be used for savoury and sweet applications.

The leaves have a high oil content which hold the flavour. Milling the leaves releases the intense flavour while making it easy to add to your favourite recipes.

 

Tips and Ideas

  • Use where you want a citrus flavour - savoury or sweet
  • The flavour is intense so a little goes far
  • Makes a delicious tea infused in hot water with a little honey
  • Storage time can be increased by freezing the product
  • Store away from direct sunlight as this will cause the oil to discolour the package.  The quality of the Lemon Myrtle is not affected.
